Could you briefly introduce yourself?
I'm a search guy.

How did you get started with developing software?
It's fun, it wasn't Java.

What would you like to accomplish by giving this talk?
I'd like to bring up the interest in high performance join in Lucene

Which in-depth information is your talk going to provide?
Details of how current join implementations work, their advantages and limitations.

When did you start contributing to Open Source projects?
three years ago.

Many of the nowadays buzzwordly talks have come from the Apache Software Foundation. What do you think makes Apache projects so successful in particular for communities developing complex software?
I don't know, perhaps industry interest moves it forward, or just trolling in comments makes them interesting to watch.  

What was the first Apache project you got in touch with?
Solr

What are the risks of going Apache?
You can't leverage vendor lock-in after that.

Anything you are planning to hack on during Berlin Buzzwords?
Anything around a search, searching for beer at least.
